Responsibilities
- Prepare timely & accurate management information
- Cash management
- Work with the business to ensure prompt issuing of invoices.
- Manage the debt collection process to ensure prompt payment from customers.
- Manage surplus funds to maximise returns. Making use of savings/bond accounts
- Manage the month-end process to deliver accurate monthly accounts
- Reconcile bank and cash book
- VAT – quarterly return
- HMRC queries
- CIS returns
- Payments – supported by team
- Payroll
- Quarterly management accounts, accruals, prepayments and Work in Progress
- Job costing reports and analysis
- Produce cash flow forecasts
- Produce and manage year-end budgets
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager within the construction or property development sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of CIS and VAT return processes.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
