Konnect recruit are looking for a Hampshire based experienced site manager to join a firm based in west Sussex, all projects are Hampshire based. 

Person spec. & Qualifications:

  • ·Minimum 5 years' experience as a no.1
  • ·Experience within the education and new build sectors
  • ·Current SMSTS
  • ·CSCS managers card
  • ·Current First aid at work (3day)
  • ·Full UK driving licence
  • ·Current DBS cheek
  • ·References to cover last 2 years

 

My client a well-established Regional Main Contractor requires an experienced Site Manager running out of the West Berkshire offices.

The projects will be predominantly delivered in and around the county of Hampshire to the value of £3Million.

As this site manager and ambassador for the company, you will be the no.1 on site and responsible for the data to day running of the project as well as liaising with the clients team and stakeholders on site to a first class standard.  You will report directly into the visiting contracts manager.

You will be required to demonstrate a proven track record in the quality “on time” delivery of complex, multiple phased projects, mainly within the Educational sector.

Experience in delivery of School cladding (SCOLA) & re-roofing projects would be advantageous. Candidates should also be experienced in new build schemes, cut and carve projects and delivery of refurbishment.

This role requires an eye for detail, ability to problem solve and a very high level of dedication.

 

Duties to include:

Ensure that adequate site records are maintained including but not limited to Site Managers reports, daily diary, weekly labour, plant, materials and goods returned, progress photographs, site inductions, and health and safety inspections and records.                                                            

Support the procurement functions in the selections of sub-contractors and suppliers and provide performance feedback. Control and monitor the use of all resources including sub-contractors to maximise efficiency and minimise costs.

You will be required to manage the site and ensure the work is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality by effectively organising and managing the site activities. Review and appraisal of sub-contractors risk assessments and method statements. Carry out 'toolbox talks' in line with the work areas programme and maintain records

Ensure the timely delivery of project reporting and forecasting. Support the procurement functions in the selections of sub-contractors and suppliers and provide performance feedback            

Understand budgets, valuations and costs whilst recognising contractual requirement
